wilderness skills, positive mindset exercises,
and how to be comfortable in your body in nature.
This small-group, tech-free experience will help you build a deeper bond with your child. Through the process of gathering your gear, packing your bag, and managing your fears, we’ll identify what you and your child need to be comfortable and have an awesome time while backpacking!

Schedule
Pre-Trip Orientation Meeting
Introduction to backpacking basics and essentials.
Gear gathering.
Day 1. Thursday: 2.5 mi. hike from Upper Big Quilcene Trailhead parking lot to Shelter Rock Campsite
Set up camp.
Play in the river.
Cook dinner.
Storytelling and games.
Day 2. Friday: 2.0 mi. hike to Camp Mystery
Set up camps.
Drop packs.
Hike 1.25 mi. to the top of Marmot Pass with lightweight daypacks for lunch and taking in the views. Elevation 6,000 ft.
Hike back down to Camp Mystery.
Cook dinner.
Debrief: highlights and lowlights.
Day 3. Saturday: 4.5 mi. hike from Camp Mystery to Upper Big Quilcene Trailhead parking lot.
